Terms of Service

Welcome to Tailara! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Tailara platform operated by Tailara Technology Ltd (“Tailara,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By creating an account or using Tailara, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
1. About Tailara
Tailara is a cloud-based business management platform designed for tailoring and fashion businesses. Our platform helps you manage clients, measurements, orders, payments, staff, and inventory.
2. Account Registration
2.1 Eligibility
To use Tailara, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have the legal authority to enter into these Terms
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
2.2 Account Security
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your password
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
We recommend using a strong, unique password and enabling all available security features.
2.3 One Account Per Business
Each Tailara account represents one business. You may create multiple accounts if you operate separate businesses, but each requires its own subscription.
3. Subscription Plans and Pricing
3.1 Available Plans

Annual billing is available at a 20% discount.
3.2 Free Trial
New accounts receive a 14-day free trial of their selected plan. No credit card is required to start. After the trial:
- If you subscribe, you retain full access
- If you don't subscribe, your account enters read-only mode (you can view but not edit data)
3.3 Payment Terms
- Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance
- Payments are processed securely through PayStack
- All prices are in Ghana Cedis (GHS)
- Prices may change with 30 days' notice
3.4 Refunds
- Monthly subscriptions: No refunds for partial months
- Annual subscriptions: Pro-rated refund available within first 30 days
- Contact support@tailara.com for refund requests
3.5 Plan Changes
Upgrades: Take effect immediately; you're charged the pro-rated difference.
Downgrades: Take effect at the next billing cycle; ensure you're within the new plan's limits.
4. Acceptable Use
4.1 You May
- Use Tailara for legitimate tailoring and fashion business purposes
- Store client information with their consent
- Invite team members within your plan's user limit
- Export your data (Growth and Premium plans)
4.2 You May Not
- Use Tailara for illegal purposes
- Store or transmit malicious code
- Access other users' data
- Resell or sublicense access
- Scrape or circumvent limits
- Impersonate others
4.3 Content Standards
You are responsible for all data you enter into Tailara. You must have the right to store and process any client information you enter, including appropriate consent for storing personal measurements and contact details.
5. Your Data
5.1 Ownership
You retain ownership of all data you enter into Tailara (“Your Data”). We do not claim ownership of your client information, measurements, orders, or any other business data.
5.2 License to Us
You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display Your Data solely to provide and improve our services. This license ends when you delete your data or close your account.
5.3 Data Portability
Growth and Premium plans include data export functionality. You can export your data at any time through the Settings menu.
5.4 Data Protection
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect Your Data. See our Privacy Policy for details.
5.5 Data Deletion
When you delete your account:
- Your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days
- Backups may retain data for up to 90 days for disaster recovery
- We may retain anonymized, aggregated data for analytics
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Our Property
Tailara, including its design, features, code, and content, is owned by Tailara Technology Ltd and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of Tailara without our written permission.
6.2 Trademarks
“Tailara” and the Tailara logo are trademarks of Tailara Technology Ltd. You may not use our trademarks without permission.
6.3 Feedback
If you provide suggestions or feedback about Tailara, we may use it to improve our services without obligation to you.
7. Third-Party Services
Tailara integrates with third-party services including:
- PayStack — Payment processing
- Google — Sign-in authentication
- Resend — Email delivery
- Twilio — SMS notifications
Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
8. Availability and Support
8.1 Service Availability
We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may temporarily suspend service for:
- Scheduled maintenance (with advance notice when possible)
- Emergency repairs
- Security incidents
- Circumstances beyond our control
8.2 Support
All plans include email support at support@tailara.com.
We aim to respond within 24-48 hours on business days.
Premium plans receive priority support.
9. Limitation of Liability
9.1 Disclaimer of Warranties
Tailara is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that Tailara will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
9.2 Limitation of Damages
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tailara Technology Ltd shall not be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
- Damages exceeding the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
9.3 Exceptions
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability. In such cases, our liability will be limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tailara Technology Ltd, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of Tailara
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Your Data or content you submit
11. Term and Termination
11.1 Term
These Terms remain in effect while you use Tailara.
11.2 Termination by You
You may cancel your subscription and close your account at any time through Settings or by contacting support@tailara.com.
11.3 Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate these Terms
- Fail to pay subscription fees
- Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
- Pose a security risk to our platform or other users
We will provide notice before termination when reasonably possible.
11.4 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your access to Tailara will end
- Your data will be deleted according to our data retention policy
- You remain responsible for any outstanding fees
- Provisions that should survive termination (like limitation of liability) will continue to apply
12. Dispute Resolution
12.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ghana, without regard to conflict of law principles. Tailara Technology Ltd is registered in Ghana, and this choice of law applies regardless of your country of residence.
12.2 Consumer Rights Preserved
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the laws of your country of residence that cannot be waived or limited by contract. If you are a consumer in the European Union, United Kingdom, Australia, or other jurisdictions with strong consumer protection laws, you retain all mandatory protections provided by your local laws.
12.3 Informal Resolution
Before filing any formal dispute, you agree to contact us at legal@tailara.com and attempt to resolve the issue informally for at least 30 days. Most concerns can be resolved quickly through direct communication.
12.4 Arbitration Option (International Users)
For users outside Ghana, you may elect to resolve disputes through binding arbitration administered by a mutually agreed arbitration body, conducted in English. Each party shall bear their own costs, with arbitration fees split equally. This arbitration agreement does not prevent you from bringing issues to the attention of consumer protection agencies in your jurisdiction.
12.5 Jurisdiction
If arbitration is not elected or not applicable, any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana. However, we acknowledge that:
- EU/UK users may bring claims in their local courts for consumer matters
- Users in other jurisdictions may have similar local court rights for consumer protection claims
12.6 Class Action Waiver
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to resolve disputes with us on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration. This waiver does not apply where prohibited by law.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:
- Posting the updated Terms on our website
- Sending an email to your registered address
- Displaying a notice in the Tailara dashboard
Continued use of Tailara after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you disagree with changes, you may close your account.
14. General Provisions
14.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Tailara Technology Ltd regarding your use of Tailara.
14.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
14.3 Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not waive our right to enforce it later.
14.4 Assignment
You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may assign our rights to a successor in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
14.5 Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, labor disputes, government actions, or internet outages.
